Companies Increase Employees’ Productivity through Corporate Massage and other Wellness Provisions

The corporate world is a rat race; the competition is fierce and employees are more driven than ever to reach the goals. It’s common for employees to work beyond the usual eight working hours especially when there are deadlines to be met, their bodies are fueled by caffeine and their physical appearance manifests many nights of inadequate hours of rest.  As the great demand continues for most companies, there are some that are serving their employees the way their employees are serving them…with a commitment to success.

Major companies know that they cannot function without their productive employees so they are making provisions to ensure the wellness of their workers. One of these provisions is the corporate massage which is typically available for employees who have a couple of minutes to spare to have those stress knots undone. As most offices are not entirely ergonomically-designed, employees often work in an uncomfortable position which leads to neck and lower back pains. These pains when neglected can lead to serious physical conditions that can intensify over time. This does not compare to the rejuvenating effects of a full body massage but the quick relief of this session from those concentrated body pains already has many benefits.

The massage is not only great for relieving body pains but the fifteen to thirty minutes of not having to think of work demands allow the employees to recharge and regroup which can surely make for a more relaxed work environment. Also, researches show that people who often get massages are less prone to typical illnesses like cough and colds because this touch therapy is known to really boost the immune system which wards the body of harmful pathogens.

After work exercise classes are also being provided for employees by their companies.  Employees who are well-rounded are great assets to a company; they are able to multitask effectively and they do not succumb to stress easily.  Yoga, Pilates and Zumba are among the really popular after work exercise classes that companies make available for their workers.  These wellness programs are believed to increase the happy hormone levels of people which can directly translate to the quality of work the employees produce for the company.

These wellness provisions are revolutionizing the corporate scene.  They are effective preventive measures against work-related sickness and with this health investment, companies benefit greatly from the “upgraded” work output of their employees.
